About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team at the Orleans Jail Complex (OJC). As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. Your work will be critical in ensuring the safety and functionality of our fleet of vehicles. You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Auto Body Technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Experience with auto body repair and painting
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Auto Body Repair
- Experience working with fleet vehicles
- Experience with welding and metal fabrication
Responsibilities:
- Performing body repairs on damaged vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for painting
- Painting vehicles to match original color and finish
- Performing quality control checks on completed work
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Skills:
As an Auto Body Technician, you will use your expertise in auto body repair and painting to ensure that our fleet of vehicles is safe and functional. You will use your attention to detail and quality to perform quality control checks on completed work. Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics will be critical in performing body repairs on damaged vehicles. Additionally, your experience with welding and metal fabrication will be beneficial in this role. You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
