Solestial, Inc. is the solar energy company for space. Solestial’s core technology is a breakthrough ultra-thin silicon solar cell that can self-cure radiation damage at normal operating temperatures in space, packaged in a flexible, lightweight panel designed to achieve minimum degradation for up to 10 years in LEO. Solestial panels can be mass-produced using automated machines resulting in costs 90% lower than incumbent technologies, with virtually unlimited manufacturing capacity. The Role:

As the Production Planner you will be leading integrated scheduling and resource planning, developing and maintaining production schedule and performing schedule baseline change control, collecting and tracking performance, and conducting critical path and variance analyses. You will also provide visibility, status, and regular reviews on schedule performance. You will be expected to resource load, analyze, and optimize production planning schedules to meet required dates while collaborating with design, manufacturing and supply chain counterparts to status critical procurements and impact to schedule, while performing “what if” scenarios, and helping to develop recovery plans.

Specific Responsibilities to Include:

  • Ensure planned production meets goals of Product Management
  • Schedule production needs to ensure achievable commitments for product delivery demand
  • Align with Key stakeholders when setting schedules: (1) Product Management, (2) Head of Cell And Module Manufacturing, (3) Procurement Manager, (4) Cell Production Manager, (5) Module Production Manager
  • Conduct/attend regular production meetings.
  • Monitor production progress to identify issues and maintain schedules
  • Work with key stakeholders to resolve conflicts and issues impacting product delivery
  • Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders of all issues that may affect facilities operation, process tool operation or the ability to meet production goals


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Advanced user of Excel.
  • Excellent communicator, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast changing environment with multiple tasks going in parallel.
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot and solve problems in a short period of time.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using production software such as MES, WMS.
