The Facilities and Operations team handles all logistical support from an operational standpoint for global locations including space planning, design and moves, construction, phones, and security to support facilities planning and projects.

The Facilities Project Representative will report to the Manager – Facilities & Operations. This is a 2-1/2 year-long Project Hire/Temporary Assignment position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do

As a Walt Disney Imagineering’s Facilities and Operations Division representative, this position will provide oversight and technical leadership from conceptual design through construction on multiple projects. This role will also be responsible for the following:

  • Planning and supervising facility construction teams during minor tenant improvement upgrade projects
  • Provides facilities project oversight and technical leadership from conceptual design through construction of several medium size facilities projects.
  • Acts as a representative of the WDI Facilities and Operations Division on the project team
  • Directs activities of in-house staff and works closely with design and delivery in the preparation of construction contract documents
  • Provides technical and administrative direction to maintain project costs within budget
  • May performs mock-up space sizing analysis, coordination and allocation within WDI buildings, on -going basis
  • May provide support on all phone and cell phone related services.
  • Review building and projects using AutoCAD.
  • May be involved in space management, coordinate office move support, and other related operations associated.
  • May coordinate the maintenance of vehicles and other owned equipment.
  • May coordinate the lease of vehicles or specialty items, such as dumpsters.
  • May be involved in troubleshooting conference equipment.
  • May be involved in supporting warehouse operations.
  • May be involved in coordinating mail operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Valid California State Driver’s License
  • Proven experience in using Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work within Project/Construction Management and Change Management
  • Understands how to think strategically and tactically about issues and problem-solve to resolution
  • Handle diverse projects simultaneously
  • Ability to provide direction, manage relationships, and adapt to change while working in a team environment
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of clients and partners
  • Be a great partner between owner and operator
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
