Description

The Engineering Project Manager leads and supports special projects involving product and process development to ensure the optimization of quality, cost, and on-time delivery of products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams internal and external to EMS is a critical element of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Research and collaborate with external and internal Engineering resources to develop products and processes that enhance Customer relationships.
  • Develop and provide the financial analysis to EMS Leadership to fully analyze costs, potential revenue streams and ROI.
  • Develop and maintain Project Management tools to support timely implementation and validation activities for new products and processes.
  • Determine and layout space requirements for new products and processes.
  • Develop the set-up process/documentation to ensure seamless transfer to Operations and ensure minimal changeover cycles.
  • Lead primary and secondary equipment procurement, delivery, installation and validation.
  • Ensure process is successful through quality, time and cost expectations prior to handing over to Operations.
  • Contributes to project milestone completion and failure to achieve results or erroneous recommendations may cause delays in project commitments and erode Customer confidence.
  • Support the EMS Quality Policy and Objectives governed by FDA regulations & ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of Design for Manufacturability including process capabilities & development, cost implications and design tolerance interactions required for function or mating components.
  • Must demonstrate and understanding of Process Characterization, Statistical data analysis, Process Controls and Performance indicators.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate in a team environment – value other’s ideas and experience.
  • Must demonstrate ability to solve problems of various technical complexity.
  • Must exhibit good communication skills (verbal and written) including effective interactions with personnel within and outside the organization.
  • Works well under pressure, organized and able to attain results on several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
