Position Summary
To follow lab protocols and develop Immunotherapy vials for patients of BAZ Allergy under the direction of physicians/providers and the nursing staff. Supports the goals and the objectives of the Company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare all custom vials
- Prepare all Stock bottles for standard mixes
- Prepare all SPT Droppers
- Prepare all Intradermals
- Prepare patch testing
- Prepare metal patch tests
- Prepare PCN PEN G testing
- Prepare Venom testing
- Prepare Venom antigen vials
- Prepare sublinguals
- Prepare Lidocaine/Drug testing
- Prepare and send all orders for the outline offices
- Check Inventory
- Order and send inventory needed
- Hybrent (scanning each item as they come in and go out)
- Re label/numbering all new antigen and Patch extracts
- Buy and Bill biologic tracking and ordering
- Weekly reports for B&B
- Answer questions from outline offices regarding biologics
- Attend meetings for biologics
- Review and verify all antigen sheets from offices
- Notify offices apply corrections
- Weekly reports for all late patients
- Weekly report for all late calls made in each office
- Call offices that have not made any/few calls and follow up
- Travel and conduct support and training to injection MA’s
- Cover for injection MA Fresno due to short staff.
- Answer all questions from outline Injection MA’s regarding injections
- Fix IMS problems for Injection MA’s
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant or Lab Technician – at minimum. Licensed nurse preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Familiarity with antigen panels or shot room experience a plus
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently
- Attention to detail and highly focused is a must
- Ability to work in an isolated environment daily
- Professional, calm and courteous demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Rosch and NextGen experience is a plus

Physical Demands
Physical Demands: In the performance of certain patient care tasks, the Mixing Specialist may be expected to have sufficient manual dexterity in order to safely perform various skills and techniques. This position requires the ability to sit for long hours. Tasks and expectations may vary by clinical site and medical practice. Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner. Indirect contact with patients, but a rare possibility, of being exposed to acutely ill patients, communicable diseases, and blood borne pathogens. Direct contact and exposure to allergen extracts.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation; Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with working hours of 7am – 4pm; no overtime required.
