Commercial Contracts Intern

The Commercial Contract Analyst will serve a key role in supporting the Commercial team in organizing key contractual artifacts, with the goal of creating data consistency and process scalability across all lines of business. The role will be reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations and will function in a project capacity to aggregate historical contracts and ensure proper data enrichment within the company CRM platform.

Program Details:

  • 12-week paid internship, full time (40 hours per week) or part time (20 hours per week)
  • Fully remote


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Log historical contracts into the Salesforce environment, which will include:
    • Studying the contracts
    • Entering the data into the appropriate fields on the contract object
    • Attaching contract to the record



  • Analyze current Revenue Integrity customer base to make sure that we have contracts for all clients
    • For those that do not, offer reporting or alerts so that their program managers are in the loop



  • Asset analysis as it relates to contracted assets
    • Ensure that parent-level assets are represented with the products that are contracted



  • Move contracts for Health Systems that have merged with our accounts
    • Ensure contracts are accessible for current clients and not sitting on old inactive accounts



  • Audit clients in RI software system to create a list of all accounts serviced by MRO
    • This will include searching through hierarchies and making sure “child” accounts are represented as clients in the Salesforce environment.
    • This responsibility will lead to a more in-depth view of the client in the system as well as providing true client counts for all acute locations
    • Ad hoc contract analyses, as assigned


    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree program (in progress or completed) with a focus on pre-law or business, with an interest in learning about the Commercial contracting process in an operational capacity.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to project objectives and deliverables.
    • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, ask questions, and effectively interact with team members and other departments.
    • Ability to work in a team, collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks and contributing to team goals.
    • Good organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Willingness to learn and absorb new information quickly to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills and commonly used software applications such as Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive attitude.
    • Professionalism and respect for workplace policies, procedures, and etiquette.
