General Summary: Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, the Graphic Designer will assist in the implementation of a variety of marketing, communication, digital, and advertising solutions for Gonzaba Medical Group (GMG). Additionally, the Graphic Designer must be able to operate efficiently and effectively in a deadline-driven environment to develop brand affinity through the effective use of traditional and digital marketing collateral of the GMG brand. The Graphic Designer is engaged and productive as part of the Marketing Team and demonstrates self-motivation and energy in ensuring all deadlines are successfully achieved within brand guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
General Requirements: All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner.
Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
Other Requirements: Computer Skills: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with HTML, WordPress, and motion graphics.
Work Environment: Depending upon the area assigned, maybe 100% clinical setting, office setting in a clinical environment, or outdoors. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Works in conditions of heat, cold, wet, dust, and rainy conditions. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Mental / Physical Requirements: Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs. without assistance. Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work efficiently under moderate pressure or time constraints.

- Ensures the GMG brand is always maintained at the highest level.
- Exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with visitors, providers, and co-workers.
- Guide and advise fellow team members in both the creative process and client management to foster stronger working relationships and solutions (Digital communication specialist, junior designer, interns, etc.)
- Oversee interns, responsible for assigning tasks, coaching on creative process, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.
- Communicate and facilitate the art direction and formatting of design deliverables and produce necessary communications pieces in both traditional and digital environments.
- Collaborate internally to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms.
- Working closely with the Creative Services Manager (or project lead) to create accurate price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within budget.
- Attending meetings as assigned.
- Produce and present presentation/project(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Keeping informed on the latest trends and forecasts. Stay up to date with industry developments and tools.
- This position requires driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle; therefore, employee must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current valid Texas Driver License, and proof of current insurance to be subject for mileage reimbursement.
- Overseeing all design elements, from the conception to final delivery.
- Delegating design tasks and providing support for junior level design team members.
- Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality.
- Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics.
- Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software.
- Apply typography techniques and branding guidelines.
- Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services.
- Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity for Gonzaba Medical Group.
- Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Using a strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product.
- Listening to design needs, coming up with ideas and communicating them to clients and other members of the team.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and making sure only the best work is released.
- Collaborating with Creative Services Manager and Marketing to drive up standards of traditional and digital creativity.
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who can offer a variety of design solutions.
