IT Director - Data Architecture
The IT Director - Data Architecture is responsible for technology architecture (application, infrastructure, data, etc.) strategy for the enterprise. In partnership with other technology leaders, this role will define the technology used within the Bank to maintain an effective, safe, modern, computing environment. Working under minimal supervision, this job develops, or guides the development of, complex architectural guidelines, specifications and technical standards related to current and future end user requests.

The IT Director - Data Architecture is responsible for technology architecture (application, infrastructure, data, etc.) strategy for the enterprise. In partnership with other technology leaders, this role will define the technology used within the Bank to maintain an effective, safe, modern, computing environment. Working under minimal supervision, this job develops, or guides the development of, complex architectural guidelines, specifications and technical standards related to current and future end user requests.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Directs the team in successful delivery of Information Technology services for the organization’s hardware, software and network technologies.
- Manages Information Technology teams and systems to ensure that the area's technological level up to date by overseeing the implementation of new procedures and techniques related to Information Technology.
- Oversees the selection of vendors, software and supplies needed by the team.
- Communicates with team to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
- Designs and implements solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, data structures, and applications across the enterprise.
- Implements complex data modeling and advanced project development of system architecture.
- Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.
- Oversees the review of technical documentation to guide implementation and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of enterprise systems.
- 5 years of experience in Data Architecture
- Prior experience managing and leading technology teams
- Enterprise data warehousing experience
- Prior experience in the banking or Fintech industry
- Understanding of Kimball, Inmon, or Medallion architecture
- Cloud architecture experience - Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
- Knowledge of designing and architecting structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data
- Experience with On-prem data warehouses and data systems
- Understanding of the latest Gen AI advancement and its use with architecture
- Data Products and Data mesh experience if preferred
- Prior experience with Snowflake is preferred
- University (Degree) Preferred
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
