The Overnight Attendant is responsible for all overnight guest services. You will be the primary point of contact for guests at our lodging properties – The Inn at Cape Kiwanda, Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa, Hart’s Camp Airstream Hotel & RV Park, Cape Kiwanda RV Resort & Marketplace and Open Nest Vacation Rentals. Job Responsibilities/Duties (You will...):
Our Overnight Attendant works collaboratively with the Night Audit team to ensure our overnight operation runs smoothly. Your responsibilities in this important role will include:
- Front Desk Duties: You will be responsible for the daily operational tasks of the front desk. Greet guests, handle check-ins, checkouts, and guest requests in a friendly, attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Listen & extend assistance to resolve any guest issues that may arise.
- Administrative Tasks: You will answer all incoming calls; assisting with any guest needs. Know the special features, amenities, and services of the properties and Pacific City area. Utilize various software to make reservations, communicate between departments and submit work orders to ensure that guest needs are delivered.
- Support the Daily Operations: Complete a daily checklist of duties that helps support the daytime operations. This includes but is not limited to; stocking supplies, filling water bottles, and delivering housekeeping baskets.
- Be available to assist offsite: You will have a company issued device to receive after hour guest needs. You will be expected to use a company provided vehicle to travel to guests at any of our lodging properties in Pacific City should they require in person assistance.
- Support the Night Audit Team: Work as a team to ensure 10 minute & 30 Minute Lunch breaks are covered at each property. Recognize when a team member may need support and lend a hand.
Qualifications (You will bring…):
- Previous front desk/guest service experience in a hotel and/or resort setting preferred (not required)
- Must be available to work within the hours of 9pm to 7am
- Experience with cash handling and completing customer service transactions
- A valid drivers license is required.
- Familiarity with front office computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, and typical hotel reservation systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle a variety of Guest Service-related situations and thrive in an environment that requires you to multi-task
