Schedule: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), self-scheduling
Patient Population: Critically ill patients (Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, and some Trauma)
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Minimum Rate Per Hour: $32
Maximum Rate Per Hour: $53

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and evaluating patient responses.
What You'll Do
Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing both emotional and physical discomfort.
Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Regularly assess and document learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues and community members to create and execute care plans, delegating tasks as appropriate.
Utilize problem-solving strategies, prioritize safety and effectiveness, and ensure efficient delivery of patient care.
Achieve team goals through collaboration, recognizing contributions, and committing to personal and professional growth.
What Will Make You Successful In The Role
Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines applicable to your area.
Proficiency in medical terminology, with a focus on health, disease prevention, management, and common medications.
Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong social skills for effective interactions with a diverse range of individuals.
Excellent Problem-solving Abilities And Critical Thinking Skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
Specialized Field: Nursing
License/Certification
A current and valid nursing license.
BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
