Job Overview

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in healthcare, focusing on the administration of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging techniques to support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for patients. Your expertise in this specialized field will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nuclear medicine procedures for patients ranging from infants to adults.
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously as required.
  • Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation of procedures and patient interactions.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in the operation of nuclear medicine cameras and associated computer systems.
  • Solid understanding of nuclear medicine protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and staff interaction.
  • Proven ability to function well within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in intravenous administration, particularly with pediatric patients.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Training program.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience with cameras and computers from the same manufacturer as those utilized at Mission Hospital.
  • Preferred: Experience executing nuclear medicine procedures across a wide age range, including pediatric patients.
