Opportunity

The Material Coordinator – Cycle Count is responsible for coordinating Cycle Count Clerk and review of ensuring cycle counts results to ensure accurate inventory records. This position ensures that inventory accuracy is maintained through this review and prompt address of discrepancies discovered by the Cycle Count Clerks.

The primary focus of this position is investigation, or corrective actions related to inventory discrepancies found during cycle counts. This position will also perform other material control assignments as requested.

Specific Responsibilities

Cycle Counts:

Coordinate daily cycle counts according to established schedules.

Utilize the designated software system to record counts accurately.

Prioritize fast-moving items or specified target items for more frequent counts.

Follow the system generated cycle counts using the designated Cycle Count software.

Inventory Accuracy

Collaborate with the Manager – Inventory Control to monitor inventory accuracy.

Monitor and Audit inventory and cycle count progress reports.

Investigate with clerk to identify inventory discrepancies within cycle counts.

Determine root causes of inventory discrepancies, recommend and track corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.

Randomly audit cycle counts to ensure cycle counts properly performed.

Documentation

Maintain detailed records of cycle counts, including date, time, and results.

Document any inventory discrepancies and communicate them to the appropriate teams.

Retain records for at least 12 months.

Collaboration

Work closely with other warehouse operations personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate with the Inventory Control team for any further analysis required based on inventory discrepancies found during cycle counts.

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain or Materials/Logistics Management.
  • Two years of on the job experience in Materials Management or Inventory Control.
  • Experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement, mathematical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Microsoft power platforms (Lists, PowerBI)
  • Strong drive, leadership, team building, and facilitation skills
  • Very strong communication skills and communicate across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to work under heavy pressure.
  • Schedule: 1st shift (start time is flexible from 5am however no later than 7am)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $23.20 - $29.00. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
