Key Job Responsibilities
- Support Data Pipeline Development: Assist in the design, creation, and maintenance of data pipelines that ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data across systems, working with tools and languages like Python, Scala, and SQL.
- Data Transformation: Help with data transformation tasks, including data cleaning, manipulation, and refinement, to prepare datasets for analysis and decision-making.
- Contribute to Data Storage Solutions: Gain experience with scalable and efficient data storage solutions, learning how large datasets are organized and stored to ensure accessibility and performance.
- Ensure Data Quality: Assist in implementing data quality checks and integrity measures to ensure accurate and reliable data across the organization’s analytics and reporting systems.
- Exposure to MLOps and DevOps Practices: Learn and contribute to the use of MLOps and DevOps methodologies, which help improve data processes and streamline the deployment and monitoring of data engineering projects.
- Collaboration and Learning: Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and learning opportunities to understand best practices in data engineering. Contribute to collaborative projects, gaining insights into industry standards and innovative techniques.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java; familiarity with additional languages like Scala, R, Go, or TypeScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with core data engineering concepts such as data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and quality.
