Job Overview

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be instrumental in managing Employee Health and Safety, ensuring Environmental Compliance, and leading Sustainability initiatives within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer all Employee Health and Safety programs and initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to corporate EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses for EHS incidents, implementing necessary preventive measures.
- Manage EHS&S databases to facilitate timely reporting and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain training programs related to EHS&S.
- Collaborate with site personnel during training on all EHS&S Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze performance data to prioritize continuous improvement of EHS&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead Sustainability data management and strategic initiative planning aligned with Trivium’s long-term goals.
- Act as the Environmental Management Representative for the ISO 14001 Management System.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, EPA, State Agency).
- Prepare all necessary internal and external environmental reports (Tier II, TRI, bi-annual waste, Emission Inventory, etc.).
- Maintain and update Environmental Management Plans (SWPPP, SPCC, HazWaste Contingency, ERP).
- Build proactive relationships with safety and environmental regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment processes and equipment with appropriate reporting.
- Manage air emission control devices and conduct regulatory reporting.
- Generate reports and analyses as required by management.
- Provide support to the Corporate EHS Director and participate in corporate audits at various sites.
- Collaborate with Operations Leadership for the safe and efficient movement of materials.
- Uphold the Food Safety Policy and related standards.
- 3+ years of experience managing EHS programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred certifications include Safety (CSP), Industrial Hygiene (CIH), or HazMat (CHMM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Effective leadership abilities with a positive cultural fit.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices and experience in regulatory agency interactions.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing EHS programs, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
