We’re seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to join our team and drive growth through our distributor and retail network, fostering strong relationships and achieving outstanding sales results.

Position Overview: This position will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies through our distributor network. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a track record in consumer packaged goods, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Must live near Orange County, California and willing to commute to office in Newport Beach

Key Responsibilities

  • Distributor Growth Management: Lead and manage distributor growth, focusing on achieving objectives through effective strategy and execution.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, brokers, and independent retailers. Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Market Strategy Execution: Develop and implement distributor strategies and market-specific projects. Ensure effective execution of plans to enhance service continuity and expand distribution.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Deliver and exceed established sales targets and quotas. Develop and present customer presentations, business reviews, and promotional plans to support distribution gains and assortment velocities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain robust customer-facing relationships with distributors and independent retailers. Understand and navigate complex distributor networks and market strategies.
  • Communication and Coordination: Manage direct communication with buyers, distributors, brokers, and sales reps. Collaborate with customer operations to ensure seamless sales and inventory delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Achieve annual sales and trade targets through strategic selling and negotiation. Coordinate forecasting and trade spend with cross-functional finance and accounting teams. Monitor and analyze distributor and retailer performance using KPIs, metrics, and scorecards.
  • Data Analysis and Project Management: Design and implement strategies aligned with business goals to scale sales. Develop retailer assessments and execute plans for targeted accounts. Leverage data sources to identify opportunities, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Must love smoothies and healthy eating!
  • Must be in Southern California with the flexibility to travel
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in consumer packaged goods.
  • Experience with UNFI and/or KeHE distributors is required.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, trade math, consumption data, trade spend, sales reports, and promotional funding.
  • Proven analytical and project management skills with the ability to synthesize data and plan strategically.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, tenacious, and resilient attitude. Self-motivated, flexible, and adept at challenging the status quo while embracing learning and growth.
