Daily duties will include setting up and monitoring of all UT/ EMI equipment. Monitoring of Inspection building.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
1.2. Training in Ultrasonic and Quality. Must have a Level 1 or Level 2 UT certification.
1.3. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn new software applications.
1.4. Visibility of work requires attention to detail, good organizational skills.
1.5. Knowledgeable experience with the latest edition of API & ISO requirements.
1.6. Must be able to stand on feet for a minimum of 8 hours and lift 50lbs.
1.7. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and solid arithmetic and computer skills.
1.8. Employee may be required to work overtime. Must be able to work any shift including weekends as required.
2.2. Reporting of all non-conformances and any potential quality issues.
2.3. Assist with the assessment and resolution of quality issues on the line.
2.4. Inspection Building performance
2.5. Provide daily quality reports to Director of Quality Assurance.
2.6. Perform all daily prove-up on rejected material to help better assist quality issues.
2.7. Current knowledge and understanding of all relevant SOP’s.
2.8. Ordering of all Inspection building supplies.
2.9. Maintaining current calibrations on all NDT equipment.
2.10. Auditing MES/Physical inventory of work orders.
2.11. Control of Inspection related Quarantine.
2.12. Issuing monthly performance reports.
2.13. Completing technical reject claims for supplier issues.
2.14. Supports HSE-related programs that will increase awareness and promote a safety culture.
3.2. Conduct inspection to ensure quality and detect discontinuities using ultrasonic equipment.
3.3. Accurate process of paperwork and test results.
3.4. Determine if pipe does/does not meet API specifications.
3.5. Report any discrepancies on reports to Director of Quality Assurance.
3.6. Ensure proper procedures are being followed and appropriate paperwork is being utilized.
3.7. Maintain daily contact with 3rd party inspection group on any needs or scheduling.
3.8. Ensuring production and quality goals are achieved/other duties as assigned.
3.9. Maintain good working relationship with any NDT equipment vendors.
3.10. Other duties as assigned.
4.2. Direct authority over inspection personnel
4.3. Direct authority over processing quality, can stop production at any time deemed necessary.
4.4. Direct authority over fire prevention and safety.
