In the role of Highway/Roads EIT, we'll count on you to:
  • Become a part of our experienced Roadway design group working as part of a multidisciplinary design team. As part of
    our team, you will have an opportunity to reshape local and regional infrastructure by providing accessible, multimodal
    designs within the community you live.
  • Work as part of a Roadway team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on a variety of roadway design
    needs for a variety of transportation projects.
  • Work as a member of a design team in preparation of the following elements of roadway and highway design using local
    (state, county, or city) or AASHTO standards; horizontal and vertical alignment, intersection layout and sight distance
    determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and right-of-way plans.
  • Work with a team in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimations for projects of various sizes and complexity.
  • Produce some of the following plans: Roadway sections, Alignment/Right of Way plans, Temporary erosion control plans,
    Site preparation plans, Roadway profiles, Drainage plans and profiles, Utility Plans, Paving, Pavement marking
  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
