The Operations Manager will oversee key operational processes related to inventory management, workflow processing, production scheduling, and trailer repair estimating to ensure the seamless and efficient functioning of the business. This position combines elements of sales support, production coordination, and customer service to enhance overall operational effectiveness. (previous experience in manufacturing preferred). Any candidate will need to understand how to weld and fabricate using steel and / or aluminum to be successful in this position.

Requirements
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of parts, raw materials, and supplies; reorder as needed to meet operational needs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements and generate operational metrics reports.
- Management of the receiving process.
Repair Workflow Coordination
- Create detailed repair estimates and manage parts procurement for customer repairs.
- Schedule and oversee repair activities, collaborating with production teams to meet quality and timeline standards.
- Address delays or challenges in repair workflows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Close completed work orders with accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
Scheduling and Production Coordination
- Work with shop supervisors to prioritize production needs based on customer due dates.
- Coordinate daily activities of production staff to ensure appropriate coverage and on-time delivery.
- Ensure the production department meets cost-effective and timely order completion by maximizing equipment and manpower efficiencies.
Sales and Customer Service Support
- Process, track, and manage customer orders and repair work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion.
- Communicate with customers to confirm orders, provide updates, resolve inquiries, and close sales when applicable.
- Generate quotes in the ERP and follow up with customers to support sales efforts.
Safety, Compliance, and Maintenance
- Work with Production to develop and implement safety and housekeeping programs for all areas, addressing facility maintenance deficiencies.
- Ensure work is performed according to customer requirements and any relevant codes or procedures.
Problem Solving and Process Improvement
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in sales, receiving, manufacturing, and shipping processes.
- Provide feedback and suggest innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and audit requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Communicate and problem-solve with staff in a professional manner that encourages personal growth and development.
- Provide instruction and oversight to ensure proper task execution in alignment with customer job requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate the warehouse to access inventory.
