Patient Registration Specialist

Working in an integrated team model, the Patient Registration Specialist will provide excellent customer service to our patients. This is a full-time 40 hours per week, benefit-eligible position typically working Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at our School Based Program. Travel to other Cherry Health sites is required!

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer literate
- Ability to maintain professional behavior at all times
- Maintain and establish effective working relationships while following oral and written instructions
- Travel within the Grand Rapids area
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Greet, check in, and direct clients to waiting area; monitor waiting area
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Pull and file patient charts
- Answers phones, directs calls and takes messages where appropriate
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments to maximize productivity
- Collect money and bill patient accounts, monitor status of accounts and insurance information as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
