We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Steel Shop. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for Shipfitter J-3. There is one (1) opening needed to work 1st shift from 0600 AM to 1445 PM with a 45 minute lunch.

Shift : ALL

Security Clearance : No Clearance

GUIDELINES FOR SHIPFITTER

JOURNEYPERSON 3 (Shipfitter)

• Must be able to work with little supervision.
• Be knowledgeable in the use of hand tools such as grinders, saws, shears, etc.
• Be familiar with weld symbols and blueprints in order to facilitate layout and assembly of bulkheads foundations, handrails, and miscellaneous ship sub-assemblies.
• Be able to tack weld and burn.
• Must know the guidelines of 5 S and be aware of the standard items.
