Purpose of Position:

This position supports logistics operations across the company. The Expeditor is responsible for facilitating shipments arriving into or originating from Anchorage to their final destination in consultation with the Anchorage Material Coordinator. The Expeditor will also coordinate these activities with vendors, shipping partners, and ICE procurement agents as needed.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

Experience and Background:

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Logistics/Procurement experience preferred

Requirements:

  • Valid State Driver’s License required and driving record that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, physical evaluation, fit-for-duty test, and background check.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Enjoys working with people; must be friendly, helpful, patient ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills as a key point of contact for both internal and external matters.
  • Must thrive in solving problems and coordinating solutions with multiple sources.
  • Good communication skills, ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.

  • Coordinate and facilitate shipments arriving into or originating from Anchorage
  • Address flow of materials from vendor to final destination
  • Provide procurement support as needed
  • Direct vendors to consolidate materials and ensure shippers have accurate/complete information
  • Gather and organize all documents/records related to shipping operations
  • Assist in other work areas and complete other duties as assigned
  • Provide light building maintenance support (i.e., applying ice melt to walkways, replacing lightbulbs, etc.)

No less than 40 per week
