Responsible for cleaning rooms, supply closets and maid carts clean, neat and well supplied.
Qualifications
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

- Basic communication skills required. Must be able to understand and speak English.
- Must be able to read labels on chemical bottles. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction.
- Must be able to present a well-groomed appearance.
Working Conditions
Work may require evening, early morning, and weekend schedules. Must be able to bend and kneel throughout assigned shift. Must be able to occasionally reach above head in performing job duties. Able to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements
Specialized Work Experience
- Removes dirty linen from beds in guest room and remakes with fresh clean linens.
- Cleans and sanitizes all areas of the bathroom.
- Cleans all surfaces, including window sills, by wet dusting and/or polishing.
- Vacuums and mops floors daily.
- Empties trash and ensures that trash receptacles are clean.
- Disinfects telephone speaker and receiver.
- Maintains records of rooms cleaned throughout the shift. Informs Status Board Operator or Assistant Housekeeper of any problems or unusual circumstances.
- Assists hotel guests with housekeeping-related requests. Immediately contacts supervisor if unable to assist.
- Other duties as assigned.
Surroundings: move throughout the company facility for most of the shift.
