Do you love natural products? We have an exciting Buyer position for our store!

The Buyer is responsible for working with vendors, purchasing products, pricing, and promoting products for our Wellness Department. Products include supplements, personal care, gifts, and housewares.

Schedule: Sun-Wed, 8:00-4:30pm

Starting Pay: $34,944/yr

Duties:

  • Ensure products are in line with store objectives.
  • Works with manager on product review and obtains approval for purchases.
  • Ensures product mix is regularly evaluated and of the highest standard. Prioritize fair trade, organic or local products.
  • Recommends new item selection.
  • Works with marketing to promote products.
  • Maintains accurate inventory.
  • Assists the Wellness Manager in completing reports and budgeting.
  • Responds to product requests and feedback from customers
  • Review invoices for accuracy.
  • Processes returns for credit
  • Review margin and weekly reports and adjust pricing as needed.
  • Ensure data is current, accurate, consistent, and maintained.
  • Create vibrant promotional displays.
  • Greet and provide excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED with two years of retail experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment handling multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical, data management, and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Proactive, self managing and self motivated
  • Ability to collaborate and be a great team player
  • Able to manage time efficiently
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to be consistently on time and on shift when scheduled
