Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with internal and external HR related inquiries and requests
- Develop standard job titles and descriptions
- Maintain employee records
- Assist with job posting and recruiting process,
- Train/support new HR personnel
- Review/Update HR policies as needed, employee handbook, orientation guide
- Assist with compliance investigations
- Track employee injury claims
- Track FMLA/injury leave
- Support other assigned functions
- Experience as an HR Coordinator a plus, Nursing Home or Health field experience preferres
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
- Effective people management skills
- Good understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
- Must be able to travel/work remotely when required
