Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Uphold SmartBank Core Values & Core Purpose
  • Adheres to and embraces the SmartBank Way by Acting Smart, Looking Smart and Being Smart.
  • Serve as the MasterCard debit card SME with a focus on client engagement and aligning product offerings based on analysis.
  • Manage the credit card sales and training partnerships with Elan, including higher limit requests requiring non-recourse agreements.
  • Act as a secondary SME for FIS CardPro/PaymentsOne, supporting card transitions, Instant Issue machines, inventory management, and expense tracking.
  • Stay current on industry trends, interchange rates, and vendor offerings to provide data-driven recommendations for optimizing costs and enhancing client services.
  • Maintain and updates processes, procedures, disclosures, and training materials, ensuring front-line staff are informed on best practices.
  • Work with IT and Vendor Management on compliance documentation, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Review invoices related to card networks, processing, and issuance, ensuring fee collection accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
  • Partner with Fraud teams to monitor and mitigate fraud risks and financial exposure.

Position Requirements And Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Five to seven years of card-related experience, preferably within a financial institution, or equivalent experience in bank front-line and operations.
  • Two to three years of experience managing a product, service, or department is preferred.

  • None

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of contracts, contacts, incentives, reporting, fraud, opt-in/out programs, disclosures, regulations, statements, compliance, digital wallet, BIN, and portfolio management.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of how card and core systems interact, including parameter settings, controls, and processing functions.
  • Operational understanding of department functions and how they support the overall card program.

Work Conditions

  • May be required to travel to various branch locations 5 days a month on average.
