Our current portfolio includes 40 renewable energy assets with a capacity of 2,048 MW, 343 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power, 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines, and other sustainable assets.

We are currently recruiting a Buyer based in Tempe to work with and strengthen our Purchasing and Buying team.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities with suppliers.
• Identify and source new suppliers through internet searches and screening.
• Balance price, quality, and delivery considerations to arrive at the total lowest cost solution for Atlantica material and service purchase orders.
• Create, transmit, and manage purchase order acknowledgements.
• Create purchase orders for approved purchase requisitions and communicate with suppliers through various channels.
• Achieve purchasing-related KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and OKR’s (Objectives and Key Results), including but not limited to cost savings, workflow & workload management, and cash flow.
• Execute annual and multi-year contract negotiations with suppliers and plants.
• Read and interpret equipment specifications, brochures, dossiers, and similar documentation.
• Develop tools and reports required by the purchasing team.
• Write purchasing-related procedures as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel may be required.
  
  

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (preferred but not required).

Personal Skills

• Eagerness to learn, a high-performance work ethic, and a great sense of humor (required).
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills (required).
  
  

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role (required).
• Basic SAP knowledge (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (required).
• Excellent Excel abilities (preferred).
• Solid negotiation skills.
