Direct Services Team Supervisor

This is an exempt position with the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging (PPACG AAA). This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, assessment skills, computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee daily operations of direct service programs including Case Management, Homemaker and Personal Care Vouchers, and Senior Insurance Assistance
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates members of the direct services team
• Creates an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
• Set clear team goals
• Delegate tasks and set deadlines for completion
• Discover training needs and provide coaching
• Assist with developing the AAA internal programs budget
• Conduct biweekly and as needed direct service team meetings
• Review client charts as needed to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Manage Reassurance Program and submit monthly billing to Finance
• Provide one-on-one counseling to clients, family members, or caregivers regarding various services including Medicare, Medicaid and other available support services as needed to ensure optimal time to complete other duties. Complete data entry and documentation into the corresponding electronic records systems for these contacts
• Set and monitor direct service standards and procedures including coordinating operational guidelines for inclusion in the department manual for the direct services team
• Work with the Senior Administrative Assistant to ensure coordination between the front desk and direct services staff
• Assist the PPACG AAA Director and/or Associate Director for matters involving client issues, employee absences, schedule changes and/or coverage issues that may have immediate impact on the team and/or that affect customer/client service
• Assist with service contracts and grants for PPACG AAA direct service programs
• Attend and participate in appropriate training and maintain current necessary credentials
• Conduct presentations for community groups, church groups, insurance professionals, senior centers, and senior housing venues
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, professionals, and social service agencies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a human services curriculum and a minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience with an agency serving human resource needs, providing counseling or case management, or
• Associate’s Degree in a human services curriculum or a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience with an agency serving human resource needs, providing counseling or case management, or
• May have commensurate work experience of 6 years in lieu of a degree
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
